Every step

Men’s Health Week.
I am taking strides for men's health - particularly those impacted by prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is Australia’s most commonly diagnosed cancer. 1 in 5 men are likely to be diagnosed by 85.
In my family alone in the last 2 years we have lost one family member, 2 more were diagnosed and recieved life saving surgical intervention.
That’s why, this Men’s Health Week, I’m making every step count.
Will you donate today and help fund new research to detect and defeat prostate cancer?
Right now, PSA testing is all we have and despite diagnosis of men even in their 20s and 30s, Medicare funding for PSA testing is only available from age 40. This is regardless of family history.
If you have family history you get a funded PSA test annually, if you don't you get a test every 2 years. The test costs about $70 if not funded and not all GPs will support you to fund one yourself.
PSA testing is all we have right now but it isn't enough.
Help me raise funds so that more can be done to stop the Prostate Cancer in it's tracks.
